This site is operated by TRIPBENTO PTE. LTD. (UEN 202401746W), which arranges private tours in Shanghai under the name Amazing Shanghai. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we hold it, who else sees it, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
Only what you give us, plus basic analytics.
- When you use the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the message you write.
- When you book: the travel date, what was agreed, the price, and our own notes about arranging your trip.
- When you pay: nothing extra reaches us. Card details are entered on a page hosted by Stripe and never pass through this site. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits and card brand as shown in Stripe's dashboard.
- While you browse: pages viewed, approximate location by country, browser and device type, and how you arrived. See Analytics and cookies below.
We do not ask for passport numbers, dates of birth, or payment card details through this website, and you should not send them to us by email.
Why we hold it
- To answer your enquiry and quote for a trip.
- To arrange and run the trip you booked, and to contact you about it.
- To take payment and to issue refunds where they are due.
- To keep records of transactions for as long as accounting rules require.
- To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email to people who have only made an enquiry.
Who else sees it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf. Each one sees only what it needs.
- Stripe — takes payment and holds the payment record.
- Supabase — stores enquiries and bookings.
- Resend — delivers our email to you and to us.
- Vercel — hosts the site and provides page analytics.
- Google Analytics — aggregate visitor statistics.
These providers operate in various countries, so your information may be processed outside the one you live in. We share information with anyone else only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to run your trip — for example passing a hotel pickup address to the guide meeting you.
Analytics and cookies
Two things measure traffic here, and they are treated differently because they behave differently.
- Vercel Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. It runs on every page.
- Google Analytics does set cookies, so it is not loaded at all unless you agree. Until you choose, the script is never requested — declining means nothing Google-related is fetched, rather than being fetched and told not to record anything.
Your answer is remembered in your browser, not on our servers, and it applies to that browser only. You can change it at any time through Cookie settings at the foot of any page, and blocking either one through your browser or a content blocker works too. Nothing on this site requires you to accept cookies in order to read it, contact us, or book a trip.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept while they might still lead somewhere, and deleted on request at any time. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require — generally five years in Singapore — because we are obliged to, not because we want the data.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area you also have the right to object to processing, to ask for a copy in a portable form, and to complain to your national data protection authority. We will not charge you for any of this and we will respond within 30 days.

Deleting a booking record is not always possible while the trip is still running or while we are required to keep the transaction on file. Where that applies we will tell you which part we cannot remove and why.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries and bookings are held in a database that is not reachable from the public internet, and the console we use to manage them is behind a password. Card details never reach our systems: payment happens on Stripe's own pages, and Stripe is certified to the card industry's PCI DSS Level 1 standard. No system is perfect, and we would rather say that plainly than claim otherwise.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Where a booking includes children travelling with you, we hold only what is needed to run the trip safely, given to us by the adult booking it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting an active booking will be sent to you by email rather than left here to be found.
